16:30–21:00Edicola Castello, Via Paleocapa (MM Cadorna) Worth Reading. Indie Magazines for Social Change presents a selection of independent magazines designed by the students of the Artifacts and Complex Systems Design Laboratory (C1) of the first year of the Master's Degree Course in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano. Housed in a historic newsstand in the centre of Milan, the exhibition takes the independent magazine as an editorial translation device: a design space in which themes, languages and perspectives are interpreted, selected and reorganised through the interaction between content, visual forms and reading practices. The editorial project thus becomes a form of synthesis and cultural mediation, capable of giving visibility and meaning to issues that deserve to be read, understood and shared. The nine projects address issues of social and cultural relevance, reaffirming the role of the independent magazine as a space for research, dialogue and participation: an artifact capable of translating the complexity of the present into editorial forms that generate interpretations, connections and new awareness.
