Talk by Marta Sironi and Anna Frabotta
18:00Biblioteca Sormani Between rarity, invention and self-training with Anna Frabotta from Frab's. The meeting aims to enhance the rich collection of magazines preserved by Biblioteca Sormani. The selected magazines will be available to the public who will thus be able to participate in the dialogue between the curator of the meetings, Marta Sironi, a historian of graphics and illustration, and Anna Frabotta, journalist and creator of Frab's, the cultural project dedicated to independent magazines. The library has historically privileged the subscription to numerous magazines also as valuable self-training tools, an aspect that is linked to the recent acquisitions of independent magazines that inform on various specific topics in an often very in-depth way with an extreme attention to all visual aspects. The meeting is part of the program aimed at enhancing some special collections of Sormani on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the library.
