09:30–19:00 studio FM milanoo   An intensive one-day workshop dedicated to looking at the city with radical attention and building a collective urban archive. Each group is given exactly 100 metres of a Milan street. Nothing else. The task is to explore and document that stretch almost obsessively, finding inside an apparently ordinary fragment a key for reading and visual storytelling. Every detail can become narrative matter: every screw, inscription, number, surface, shadow, mark, crack, trace, imperfection. The aim is to build a visual alphabet of a street, 100 metres at a time — recognising, selecting and relating what is found, and turning what usually goes unnoticed into a system of signs that can tell a place.   The morning is for fieldwork: observation, collecting, photography, measuring, cataloguing, interpretation. In the afternoon, at studio FM milano, the material is transformed through graphic experiment into an editorial artefact. Each group builds its own page, sequence or micro-publication. Individually, each project tells 100 metres; together, the artefacts make a collective book.   A research and design exercise that starts from a minimal portion of space and arrives at a larger question: how can a city be told through its details?   Materials to bring: Laptop with graphic composition software Smartphone with camera and/or camera Drawing materials and other tools for field research   The number of participants is limited →Register Cost: € 20
