Talk by Marta Sironi and Anna FrabottaArt historian with research interests in illustration and editorial graphics, especially from the Italian twentieth century. After working at the apex Centre (archives of speech, image and editorial communication) of the University of Milano and having obtained his PhD at the University of Parma, he currently collaborates with several archives as a freelancer. His publications include: Laughing at Art (Mimesis, 2012) and monographs on John Alcorn (Moleskine, 2013) and Giovanni Pintori (Moleskine, 2015). With illustrations by Francesca Bazzurro, Chiara Carrer, Viola Niccolai, Lucia Pescador, Guido Scarabottolo, Pia Valentinis, Francesca Zoboli told some aspects of the history of art for the Piccola Pinacoteca Portatile series published by Topipittori. Among the most recent projects is the exhibition and its catalogue on Giovanni Mulazzani, created with Silvia Sfligiotti and some students of the ISIA of Urbino (2019) and the publication of an extensive research on Italian editorial graphics between the two wars: The beautiful book (Unicopli, 2019, in publication).
