Visual communication designer, graduated in Visual Design at the CNIPA Experimental Design Centre in Ancona, then attended the MasterCom at UNIRSM. Since 2013, with the Elp Design studio in Senigallia, he has been dealing with communication in the cultural, social and entrepreneurial fields. It has activated micro cultural and training projects. His projects have been published and exhibited in local and national exhibitions. He is a member of the collective Pensiero Manifesto, he is an AIAP National Councillor.

The workshop begins with visionary experiments of the 1970s, when architects drew cities that were impossible, infinite, mobile or playful. From these cues, participants will imagine a utopian city from the real one, intervening directly on photographs and transforming them through drawing and collage; finally they will make a 3D visualisation as a pop-up postcard. The aim is to stimulate imaginative and critical thinking, and to treat design not only as the “right” solution but as a free — revolutionary — creative act.

A path of discovery, reopening the dialogue on an artistic, architectural and social experiment
The exhibition is dedicated to Operazione Arcevia, a utopian project for an existential community in the territory of Arcevia. Promoted by the entrepreneur Italo Bartoletti, conceived by the architect Ico Parisi with the support of the curators and critics Enrico Crispolti and Pierre Restany and the psychologist Antonio Miotto, it involved thirty-three “aesthetic operators” among the most important figures of the Italian and international cultural scene, each with dedicated artistic projects. A pioneering experience, presented at the Venice Biennale in 1976 and shown at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome in 1979.
In this process of revaluation, Ri-leggere Operazione Arcevia. 1972-1976 is in dialogue with the works of Francesco Somaini, who took part in it.

In the 1970s, with Operation Arcevia, architects, artists and intellectuals imagined an existential community in the Marche hills. On the occasion of the exhibition RI-LEGGERE OPERAZIONE ARCEVIA. 1972-1976, an in-depth analysis traces the history of that shared utopia, with a focus on the contribution of Francesco Somaini.
