Systemic Communication at ISIA Roma Design.
The path of a design project is like preparing for a journey: you carefully choose the most suitable tools, share goals with your travelling companions, and remain open, with curiosity, to what you do not yet know.
Like every journey, the project takes shape in the waiting, unfolds in the experience, and lives on in the memory.
In ISIA Roma courses, students develop projects that imagine still-unexplored worlds, giving rise to experimental narratives and artefacts of an innovative, visionary character. Research extends from the tangible dimension of reality to the more intimate dimension of consciousness, in a process where form and content build each other.
The IN ITINERE exhibition presents the many forms of Systemic Communication at ISIA Roma, through design projects that are at once tools of knowledge, exercises in imagination and visions of the possible: Editorial, Type, Identity, Digital, Interaction, Multimedia, Audiovisual, Video Animation, Exhibit, Infographic, Systemic, Advertising.
For ISIA Roma, Communication Design is a privileged field of design research, experimentation and critical thought, in which the project becomes a way to interpret the present and imagine the future.
Founded in 1973 as the first public university institute of design in Italy, and awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1979 for its educational model, ISIA Roma Design presents this exhibition for the third edition of BIG – Biennale Internazionale Grafica, dedicated to visual communication design and contemporary graphic cultures: a place of dialogue between the profession, research, education and society.
