Irma Boom is a Dutch graphic designer internationally recognized as one of the most influential figures in the field of book design. Founder of Irma Boom Office in Amsterdam, she develops editorial projects that explore the book as an object of research, experimentation and innovation, redefining its forms, materials and languages. Throughout her career she has collaborated with cultural institutions and international clients, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Rijksmuseum, the United Nations, the Prada Foundation and OMA/Rem Koolhaas. Since 1992 he has been a lecturer at the Yale School of Art and his works have been awarded numerous international awards, including the Gutenberg Prize. His publications are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
